Orthopedic rehabilitation

An orthopedic injury can have a major impact on your functionality. This is why we have developed an interdisciplinary rehabilitation program to best guide you through various joint and tendon disorders and sports injuries, both acute and chronic.

What is it

Orthopedic rehabilitation focuses on the recovery and rehabilitation of bone fractures, joint injuries, muscle disorders and back problems. The goal is to improve functionality, mobility and quality of life after an orthopedic injury or surgery. The treatment plan is tailored to your specific needs.

Pathway

You will be guided in various disciplines:

  • Physical therapy: During orthopedic rehabilitation, we focus on your mobilization. You will receive balance, stabilization and muscle strengthening exercises. If incorrect posture is causing your pain, it will be corrected. With a sports injury, the focus is also partly on resuming sports.
  • Occupational therapy: You learn to perform tasks again independently. We focus first on daily tasks but we also help you prepare to resume your professional activities.

Your attending physician, together with the therapists, determines which pathway offers the best results for you, both during your stay in the hospital and as a rehabilitant in our rehabilitation center.
